High Conflict Family Mediation

At Vollmer Law Group, we provide high conflict family mediation for parents facing ongoing disputes related to separation, divorce, custody, and parenting time. This service is designed for families experiencing frequent conflict, poor communication, or repeated trips to court. Our goal is to help parents create a clear, child-focused parenting plan in a safe, structured, and legally protected environment.Mediation is offered as a pre-paid package of eight 90-minute sessions for a flat fee of $3,500. Attorneys do not attend the sessions, which helps reduce conflict and allows for more productive communication. If an agreement is reached, we will draft the terms and provide the written agreement to each party’s attorney for review, signature, and filing with the court. If the full eight sessions are not used, the remaining sessions may be used in the future for parenting-related issues any time before the youngest child turns 18. Additional sessions beyond the original eight may be requested if needed, subject to approval and an additional fee. No refunds are issued for unused time.Unlike co-parenting counseling or therapy, mediation is governed by Indiana ADR Rule 2.11, which protects the confidentiality of the process. Mediators cannot be subpoenaed or called to testify in court, and they are only permitted to report whether mediation was successful, partially successful, or unsuccessful. This makes mediation a truly neutral and protected space for parents to work through even the most sensitive issues.Mediation is conducted by Angeline R. Vollmer, LCSW, Esq., and Dorian Laumann, MA, LMHC. Both are Registered Domestic Relations Mediators with extensive experience in law, mental health, and high-conflict family dynamics. When appropriate, children may participate in mediation based on their age, developmental stage, and emotional safety. Shuttle mediation is available for families with a history of domestic violence or other safety concerns.
